I stopped at another old cemetery on my drive last week.
I've begun to realize that you can't fully appreciate life
without acknowledging death.
It tells us just how precious life is,
how brief it can be,
and for those who always wanted to become mothers but couldn't ...
what a rare blessing it is.
I still find it amazing to see grave stones of men who fought in the Indian Wars
This man was born in a country that was just 22 years old!
He died at age 98 ... can you imagine the stories he could tell?!?!?
This wife was just 19 when she died ...
I wonder how old she was when she married.
This one especially sad, a 21 year old mother and her 3 year old son,
drowned on the same day.
I don't want a marker when I'm gone.
I doubt very much it would ever be seen by anyone other than strangers if there was one.
Scatter my ashes in the Gulf of Mexico,
