between the pages ...

The voice behind the band
Flyleaf ~ I didn't realize we
had seen her in concert
at Ft Hood TX
Lacey Sturm grabbed my attention with just this sentence on the back cover of her book ...
Have you ever asked yourself, "What's the point?"
Have I ever!

She shares her journal pages, to-do lists, thoughts, poems, recipes and song lyric ideas in a comfortable and easy read that often made me feel guilty as if I had snuck her diary out of her room to snoop in the pages.

In the process, you see her questions about faith, life, and hope.  Many of her questions and journal entries hit close to home for all the times I asked myself (or wrote on my calendar or in my own journals) "what is the point?"  "really."

By the time you reach the end of the book, you realize that there really is "a point."

  1. There's a point, i think i would enjoy finding out if hers agrees with mine. Even when people don't agree, they can learn from each other.

  2. It would be interesting to read and see if we both come to the same conclusions about the point!

A side note to my Words on Wednesday ~ I've truly enjoyed reading everyone's blogs, comments, and posts the past few months, but unfortunately have not been able to comment from Safari, and have to use Chrome for commenting. It is frustrating and annoying to have to log out of one and into the other just for commenting, when everything else I do is on Safari. I'm not sure if it is because I'm using a Mac, but I haven't been able to sign into Google on Safari. I'm still trying, however, just know that if I don't comment, it's not because I haven't enjoyed reading or seeing Sunday's Selections photos.
